Artist & Author Inspired by Ballet, Theatre and the Welsh Landscape
Zoe James-Williams is a contemporary figurative artist and writer based near the Gower coast, known for her expressive paintings that capture the beauty of ballet, the drama of theatre, and the atmosphere of Welsh landscapes.
She was the first Artist in Residence at Swansea Grand Theatre, with exclusive access to companies like the Welsh National Opera and National Theatre, allowing her to document life on and off stage with authenticity and emotion.
Zoe’s work is held in the collections of Bill Wyman, Johan Kobborg, Alina Cojocaru, and Chas Hodges, and has been praised by principal dancers and featured in Aesthetica, Welsh Country Magazine, and Bill Wyman’s Scrapbook.
She has exhibited widely across Wales and trained at Charles Cecil Studios in Florence, Swansea Art College, and Malvern Girls’ College.
Zoe is also the author of Dancing With Fire, a YA fantasy novel inspired by ballet and rebellion.
