Tis is a quick ink sketch of  Queen of the Night from The Magic Flute by Mozart when the Welsh National Opera were performing in The Grand Theatre. It was an amazing costume covered in black lustrous feathers. It was so heavy she could only wear it for a short while and had to stand on a box to get out of it! She was played by American Laure Meloy widely recognised for playing this particular role.
